Background & History
Invitation to Scholars - Part I
Old and new emerging insights are part of a quiet revolution taking place the world over creating a new world view of life-itself, what it is and how it works.  Groundbreaking methods for thinking provide the foundations for a frontier science of “life-itself.” This new frontier bridges science, society and spirituality bringing with it new solutions, hope and possibilities for every level of life; how we live together, health, education, business, governance, technology, how we find meaning and purpose for our lives and how we care for the earth, ourselves and more.

Invitation to Scholars - Part II
Two Chilean biologists, Maturana and Varela, founded Autopoiesis.  It defines the conditions on process by which a living organism can both create and maintain itself in a state of autonomy in a constantly changing ecological niche.

Advancing Human Knowledge, How?
Listening in to nature, systems of order beyond our current language or scientific worldview are being revealed about how living beings function. (Life is not chaos. The physical universe is not chaotic. There is a logic and order to it. )

History of Formalisms Leading to Advance in Knowledge

Bear in mind that philosophy and science are community sports.  Or to put it more seriously, life forms societies to develop them. Many minds have to work together.  In philosophy it requires sharing ideas. But often, shared ideas are not completely the same ideas. Thus philosophy can develop many divergent schools of thought on any given subject.

Implications for Government
“It is shocking to realize that the future of human kind, whether we will live in peace or perish in a holocaust, depends on the opinions of whomever happens to be in power.  Opinions may be right or wrong, leading edge or backwards, enlightened or unenlightened.  Whatever they are they guide the actions taken by world leaders for better or worse.  Our lives hang by fallible opinions!  There must be a better way.”

What is Life-itself?
The phrase “Life It Self” came to our attention as the titles of two books by Robert Rosen, a mathematical biologist. The book titles are “Life It Self” and “Essays on Life It Self”. I believe that Rosen meant the phrase to mean life in all its forms. In any event, that is what we intend by it. We mean that which is essential and common to life in all its forms
